Welcome to the second annual TSAT writing

When initially posted, this page announced the second TSAT writing contest (whose winners were announced in the Jun./Jul. 2001 issue) and informed potential competitors of the rules for said contest, whose stated goal was to create the best new story inspired by a particular image. There were prizes for the top three entries; the first, second and third place stories would all be published in TSAT. In addition, the first prize winner would receive a copy of Clifford Simak's They Walked Like Men, and the second prize winner got an original new story written to his specifications. While the new management sees no reason to preserve the rules of this long-past contest, we rather like the image which Mahr & Co. selected as its inspiration:
