The graphics-heavy wing of TSAT

If you were looking for TSAT's policies regarding advertisements, you've come to the right page. Thanks! Read on, and if you have any unanswered questions when you're done, get in touch with us and we'll fill you in.

What ads will TSAT accept?

Anything that we (Bard and Long) think will be of interest to a good-sized chunk of TSAT's readers. This obviously includes furry-related items, and science fiction & fantasy books; if you'd like to advertise something that doesn't fall into either of those categories, write to us and ask.

How much does it cost to run an ad in TSAT?

All prices are quoted in US dollars.

We create the ad to your specifications: $50
Initial setup fee for any ad: $20
Fee for each issue the ad appears in: $5 per issue

Thus, if you supply your own ad, it'll be (20 + 5 =) $25 if you just want it to appear in one issue; (20 + 5 + 5 =) $30 if you want it to appear in two issues; $35 for three issues; and so on. If you had us create your ad for you, it's (20 + 50 + 5 =) $75 for a one-issue ad, (20 + 50 + (3 * 5) =) $85 for a three-issue ad, etc.
Note that once you've paid the initial setup fee for a given ad, you can re-use it as often as you like, after as long a gap as you like, and you still won't have to pay anything more than the per-issue fee for each issue you want the ad to appear in.

Exactly what does an advertiser get for their money?

For each issue in which an ad appears, the lower-left 'pane' of the zine-window will contain a clickable link to the ad; this link can be text or a graphic image, as you choose, and it will be visible to TSAT's readers at all times. The ad to which the link points can be a page in TSAT (in which case it shows up inside TSAT's main text frame), or it can be a completely separate outside page (in which case it shows up in a fresh new window unto itself) -- either way is fine by us.
TSAT
reserves the right to adjust an ad's graphic components (if any) for a smaller file size, a more compatible file format, and/or better image quality.

What forms of payment does TSAT accept?

There are two basic choices:

Send it through PayPal, to cubist@aol.com
Send a cashier's check or a money order to TSAT Stories and Art, 3419 Gila Drive, San Jose, CA, 95148

When does TSAT want to be paid?

We need the money on or before the deadline of the issue the ad will appear in.

Something went wrong with the ad (or payment or whatever)!

'Something went wrong' covers a lot of territory. But if you have a specific problem that needs to be dealt with, talk to us and we'll work out a solution that all of us can live with.
