   Waiting alone in the secret alcove they had both come to know so well, with the perilous cries of the frolicking children wafting in from outside, Miriam thought once more of the Chief’s handsome son, the one person left who could help her. He was now, according to her horoscope, lost forever in the wilds of the Amazon.
   Just then, came a flurry of activity, and she realized, in a single instant, what was now to happen. He was here! “Without you I am nothing, Randy Lil!” he mumbled.
   At long last he excitedly began to show her his plans for the villa they were to share, and as the truth — the whole truth — slowly came home to her, she realized thankfully that, in the end, things always work out really, really well.
