One Man's Garbage...

Glass shattered the air. The normally placid house turned to Hades itself, the hell fires spewing forth from an angry father and his mutilated son. Vases and china were strewn across the floor, shattered beyond repair.
Amidst the debris was a tall boy dressed all in white -- a set of white furs he could never take off.
"You spend your college money on this?" the father screamed. "I thought I raised you with some sense, Andrew!" Another plate smashed against the wall. His son stood proud, trying his best to keep his long ears standing tall.
"The name is White now," Andrew said coldly.
"I don't care if your name is mud! Fifteen years of savings -- down the goddamn toilet!" Veins pulsed on the man's head. His voice was hoarse from all the screaming. The blisters on his hard-working hands were starting to rupture, spewing pus and blood out onto every piece of glassware he launched at his son.
The rabbit's cleft lip was set in a thin line. "I did it for Alice."
"Alice? The superstar singer Alice Andrews?" The older man laughed long and hard. "For her, you gave up your humanity? That woman doesn't give two shits about you or any of her fanboys!"
White closes his eyes. "She'll love me when I'm a rabbit; I know it."
"And you're willing to bet your future on that?"
"If it's what I have to do, it's what I have to do. Without it, she'll never notice me."
That was the straw that broke the camel's back. "Out," the father spat, pacing towards the door. "Just get out."
The door opened wide. White looked his father in the eye one last time, hoping to find some remorse. Cold ice was all he found, and that cold ice followed his new body all the way out to the lonely street.
